Helicopter Flying Lessons

An ideal introduction to flying or a unique gift.
The package includes a pre-flight briefing from your instructor. Once airborne, you’ll be shown how to pilot the Schweizer helicopter and have a chance to fly it yourself.
We can offer Gift Experience Vouchers if you are buying a lesson for someone special.

If you are considering gaining a Private Pilots Licence, we recommend a one-hour lesson, giving you more in depth tuition and hands-on experience. All our trial lessons count towards your Private Pilots Licence.

 
Questions and Answers
  1. What if the weather is not looking good?
    Inevitably your flight is weather dependent. We ask that you contact us before you leave to check that your flight is still going ahead. If for any reason we are unable to fly, we will rebook your flight.
  2. How long is the voucher valid for?
    Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. If the voucher has expired, it can be extended, but there will be an administration fee. Please note that the vouchers are non-refundable.
  3. Can I exchange the voucher?
    Vouchers may be exchanged for another flight of the same value. You also have the option to upgrade. Please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
  4. What if I need to cancel my flight?
    That’s not a problem, but please give us as much warning as possible. We will be pleased to rearrange your flight.
  5. Are there any restrictions on taking part in any Pleasure Flights or Trial Lesson?
    As a guide, if you are taking a trial lesson there are no problems for people up to 6’ 4” (1.90m) tall or who weigh up to 240lbs (109Kgs). For pleasure flights there may be greater restrictions. If you have any doubts please discuss them with us. There is no age restriction on pleasure flights, children under the age of 2 years may sit on an adults lap (no charge applicable)
  6. How do I check availability and then make a booking?
    Pleasure Flights generally take place at the weekend, whilst Trial Lessons can be taken at any time. Call us to arrange a booking convenient to you.
  7. Can I bring friends to watch?
    As a voucher holder you can bring family and friends to watch you take off and land. However, there are currently operational and security considerations to be aware of. Consequently, when you visit us, we ask you to keep the number of guests you bring with you to a sensible minimum.
  8. Is there a dress code?
    We simply suggest that you dress sensibly for your flight.
  9. Do you have parking?
    Yes, we have plenty of free car parking available outside the front of the hangar.
  10. Do you have facilities for refreshments?
    We do not have refreshments facilities; however there are several eating establishments within the local area.
  11. Can I bring a camera?
    You are welcome to bring cameras to record your flight with us. However, when taking cameras and other photographic equipment on the flight you do so entirely at your own risk.
