QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years Airline Maintenance Technician experience
  • EMB-145 experience highly preferred
  • Must have ability to travel 90% of the time
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license. Must be able to pass a ten-year Background/Criminal/OMV/Drug Screen
  • Ability to understand Company and FAA policies, procedures, and regulations

RESPONSIBLITIES:

This position will report directly to the Director of Maintenance

  • Travel when needed with the aircraft or to the aircraft to perform maintenance.
  • Will work in close coordination with the Quality and Maintenance Control Departments.
  • Responsible for assigned work area, shop, or ramp, to ensure that it is kept clean and free of hazards.
  • Perform all aviation maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the highest shop practices and in the interest of safety of flight.
  • When authorized, perform receiving inspections of parts and accessories ensuring materials received are inspected to the extent necessary to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and Company Specifications.
  • Be familiar with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Company policies.
  • Document all required maintenance in accordance with this manual.
  • Assist in the planning, directing, laying out and coordinating activities of their area and other areas to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency.
  • Responsible for the handling of parts while repair is in progress which includes the proper tagging and disposition of these components.
  • Assist in initiating Material Requests for stock and/or material as required.
  • Keep tools and support equipment in a safe and operational condition and, when using calibrated equipment, ensure the calibration due time has not expired
  • Utilize personal protection (safety glasses, ear protection, respirator, gloves, etc.) as necessary while conducting daily duties
  • Submit in writing any suggested change in operational procedures that will enhance safe, cost-effective aircraft maintenance
  • Responsible for completion of all department internal Company forms, maintenance records documents, work orders, etc
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 23 years of age, able to pass full DOT background checks and initial and random drug screens
  • 1st class medical or ability to obtain
  • Success with current and prior flying positions and can provide professional references
  • Physical ability to perform all job duties
  • Current ATP or meet minimums to take the ATP-CPT
    • Option for ATP- CPT:
      • Must have logged a minimum of 1500 hours total flight time
      • Must have logged at least 500 hours of cross-country flight time
      • Must have completed at least 75 hours of actual or approved simulated instrument flight time (up to 25 hours may be simulated)
    • Option 1 for R-ATP
      • 750 hours of total pilot time for military pilots
    • Option 2 for R-ATP
      • 1,000 hours and a bachelor’s degree or 1250 hours and an associate’s degree with an aviation major from an approved school
    • Option 3 for R-ATP
      • 1,500 hours of total pilot time and at least 200 hours of cross-country time and otherwise meet ATP experience requirements

  • Plan flights as assigned
  • Weather briefings
  • Payload calculations
  • In-flight monitoring
  • Flight debriefs
  • Communicating routinely with on site management personnel on safety of flight, aircraft maintenance status, flight crew status, operational communication issues, customer concerns or personnel issues.
